Our Story
Founded on the belief that landscapes shape the way we live, think and feel
At Imago Gardens, we believe that the spaces surrounding us profoundly influence the way we think, feel and experience daily life. Human beings have an innate connection to nature and our minds instinctively respond to light, proportion, movement, texture and greenery. A thoughtfully designed landscape has the power to calm, inspire, restore and bring people together.
This philosophy forms the foundation of our work. Imago Gardens was founded with a clear conviction: that the garden is architecture. That the landscape should not be viewed as an addition to a home, but as an integral part of it — extending its language, enriching its character and shaping the experience of living within it.
Too often, outdoor spaces are treated as an afterthought; a collection of materials and planting arranged once the building work is complete. We believe they deserve the same intellectual rigour, creativity and attention to detail as the finest architecture and interiors.
Our work seeks to create a seamless dialogue between house and garden, blurring the boundaries between inside and out. We design spaces that are beautiful yet purposeful, contemporary yet timeless, creating environments that evolve with the seasons and enrich everyday life for years to come.
Over the years, we have delivered exceptional private landscapes across London, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. From intimate city courtyards to expansive country estates, each project is a response to its architecture, its setting and the people who will inhabit it.
Because we believe the greatest gardens are not simply seen — they are experienced. They become the backdrop to family life, places for gathering and reflection, and spaces that improve wellbeing in ways both visible and unseen.
Every garden begins with a question: how do you want to live?
We don't begin with a style or a palette. We begin with the land — its proportions, its relationship to the house, its light through the seasons. From that understanding, a design emerges that is specific to the place and the people who will inhabit it. The result is never generic. It is always yours.

The dreamer & the one
who makes it happen.
The Dreamer
Diana
Garden Designer & Co-founder
Diana leads every design from first sketch to final planting plan. Her approach is rooted in the belief that a garden should feel inevitable — as though it could only ever have existed in that exact form, in that exact place.
The One Who Makes It Happen
Hayk
Build Director & Co-founder
Hayk oversees every build from groundworks to handover, ensuring that what Diana designs is executed with absolute precision. His command of the build process means nothing is ever lost between the drawing and the garden.
What we stand for
Our principles
01
Architectural Thinking
We approach every garden as a spatial problem — considering volumes, sight lines, transitions, and the relationship between built and planted elements.
02
Material Integrity
We specify only the finest materials — natural stone, porcelain, hardwoods, hand-forged metalwork — chosen for their beauty, durability, and the way they age.
03
Considered Planting
Our planting schemes are designed to evolve over time, creating gardens that become more beautiful with each passing season.
04
Enduring Craft
We work with a trusted network of specialist craftsmen whose skills — in stone, timber, water, and light — are unmatched in the industry.
